National Community of African American in Healthcare Finance

Community is an exclusive group of health system, finance specific, leaders who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color). Our goal is to give members the opportunity to learn from each other—by sharing best practices, develop new peer-peer or mentor relationships, and solving real-world problems associated with careers in patient experience and revenue cycle management




    About Us

    Empowering the next Generation

    Promote inclusion of black professionals in financial management of healthcare systems and companies. The Community will create a supporting environment focused on developing members proficiencies necessary for achieving excellence in the healthcare industry. This includes creating opportunities for sharing of best practices, peer to peer mentoring, education and training for professional growth, plus sponsoring of collaborative real-world problem-solving directed at improving health and wellness for the black community at large

    Objectives

    The community is a non-profit professional membership organization for Blacks and African-Americans in the healthcare. Founded in 2023 to create an organization for continuous learning that expands the black healthcare financial professional experience, knowledge, and skills to continue supporting the dialogue to elevate the quality of health care services rendered to underserved black communities

    a.   Improving diversity and promoting inclusive cultures within health system finance.
    b.   Bringing awareness to health system finance as a viable career path for BIPOC leader

    To be the world’s leading voice for Blacks and African Americans Healthcare Financial sector.

    What we do

    We provide global networking opportunities for Black professionals to meet new colleagues, share ideas, and discuss best practices

    We help global organizations attract, recruit, retain, and promote Blacks and African-Americans in healthcare

    We conduct objective research and guide organizations in building a diverse organizational culture that is welcoming to Blacks

    We provide mentoring to support the advancement of Blacks and African-Americans

     

    The Diversity, Inclusion & HealthEquity effort is a collaborative event focusing on health equity and health disparities in the U.S.

    Our membership levels

    Regular

    Person who has a career in healthcare provider financial management and is committed to furthering the purpose of The Community. 

    Founder

    Regular or Partner Member who is one of the original organizers and who was involved in the establishment of The Community. 

    Partner

    Consultant, service provider, college or university faculty and any individual or corporation in the healthcare industry who is interested in furthering the purpose of The Community. 

    Student

    Person during the academic year, is a full-time college student at an educational institution which normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and has an organized body of students at the place where its educational activities are carried on, or a full-time intern, resident, co-op student affiliated with an accredited educational program.

    The Community may from time to time modify the membership definition, create additional classes of membership and change the dues for membership
